Portfolio Construction

JGH Investment Consulting (“JGHIC”) offers portfolio construction services covering asset allocation, fund selection, investment objective setting, investment committee participation and performance reporting. JGHIC offers bespoke solutions suited to specific investor circumstances.

JGHIC does not have its own in-house managed account and operates completely independently when constructing portfolios for clients. Client preferences and needs are catered to while the focus remains on meeting objectives for end clients. While we are able to provide input across the full portfolio construction process we are also happy to provide specific inputs within a broader team based approach to building model portfolios.

Managed Accounts

JGHIC provides specialist advice on the construction and development of bespoke managed portfolio solutions to independent financial advice practices. We work with advisers to achieve superior solutions while being less restricted by platform or product choices.

Being independent of any other groups JGHIC is able to provide inputs into any managed accounts solution regardless of platform preferences or approved product lists. As JGHIC does not have its own in-house managed account we are able to provide truly independent managed account solutions where clients are not forced into out portfolios in an asset accumulation model.

Independent Fund Research

With extensive experience researching retail managed funds and working within advice research arms JGHIC can provide unique insights into product offerings that add value to both advisers and product providers. Thorough reports draw out all the risks associated with products, to help advisers fully comprehend a product offering. Fund managers can also be assisted with reviews of potential products prior to market release, helping to mitigate risks associated with production and launch.

Approved Product List Management

We have lengthy experience building and maintaining Approved Product Lists (“APLs”) within advice businesses including work to constrain existing APLs to mitigate risks. With lengthy experience within the retail side of the industry, JGHIC is very well placed to provide advice to businesses with the help they require in developing, maintaining or reviewing their APL.
